Sending QR-bills with Zervant (Switzerland)

Switzerland has implemented a unique payment slip template that includes a QR-code in order to facilitate payments. The implementation came into use on the 30th June 2020 and it is not mandatory yet.

How it works

When choosing the QR-bill template from a Swiss account, a QR-code (along with a whole payment slip) is included on the invoice, which contains the information required for the payment:

  • Customer’s name and address
  • Sender’s name and address
  • IBAN
  • Sum to be paid and currency
  • Payment reference

Please note that this information must be filled in correctly in the invoice in order to create a functioning QR-code.

It is also possible to set the QR-bill as the default invoice template under >My account >Invoicing settings.

The recipient of your invoice can scan the QR-code, e.g., from their banking app, and all the payment information will be automatically pre-filled.

With the QR-bill in Zervant, it is easier for your recipient to pay the invoice, it is less costly (less manual work), and it prevents manual errors in the payment process. All this will help shorten the payment time for your customers and you will be eventually paid quicker!
